How to choose a Sun Hat
Selecting the right hat can be easy by using some of these
steps. Choose a hat that has the appropriate needs you are looking for. It must
be comfortable and enjoyable for you to wear. It should cover the most
concerned areas like the face, neck, ears and nose. The sun damages the skin
quickly and is the cause for most aging skin which starts as a child.
Wearing sun screen can also protect any areas that may not be covered.

Few Things to look for when purchasing a Sun Hat
Brim Size
To receive maximum coverage from Ultraviolet Radiation
choose hats that have 3” or larger brims, this will give good to excellent
coverage on your face, neck and nose. Also decide what you will be using the
hat for as we have many styles for many different outdoor activities.Wearing a hat during peak hours 10 am to 4 pm
is wise. If your outdoors in the sun all day it would be suggested to a 4” or
larger brim this will give full coverage to help protect your face and neck
from the sun rays.
Fabric Content
What type of fabric would you like? Fabric that is rated UPF
50+ to receive excellent coverage that will block out the sun rays up to 98%.

a few things do you want to machine wash it, want it to breathe, be
lightweight, cotton, hemp, straw, raffia, natural, synthetic, polyester fabric,
water resistant etc. Will you be playing a sport, traveling or just driving a
car all come in to what type of fabric and style you may want. The environment
comes in to play also. When choosing a hat fabric is part of that so choosing a
right fabric is important.
